Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance strengthens claims leadership team in Germany with new appointments

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) has announced the appointment of three executives to claims leadership roles in Germany.

Sandra Leyendecker has been promoted to Head of Casualty Claims, Ingo Lorber has been appointed as Head of Property Claims, and Michael Brobach has been named Head of Executive & Professional Lines Claims.

Leyendecker, who has been with BHSI since 2022, brings more than 20 years of industry experience to her new role. She previously served as Senior Casualty Claims Examiner.

Meanwhile, Lorber has nearly 30 years of experience in the industry, with his most recent role being in another global insurer where he customised claims handling for major claims.

Brobach, who managed financial lines claims at another global insurer for nearly 15 years, will lead the Executive & Professional Lines Claims division.

Andreas Krause, Head of DACH at BHSI, stated that Leyendecker has been an asset to the company and their customers, embodying their CLAIMS IS OUR PRODUCT® philosophy to ensure excellent service to customers and brokers throughout the DACH region and around the globe.

Krause added that with the addition of Lorber and Brobach, the company now has exceptional claims leaders who will further elevate their claims teams and the service they bring to customers.

BHSI, which is a subsidiary of Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway, is a global specialty insurer that offers a range of insurance solutions, including property, casualty, healthcare, executive and professional lines, and marine and energy.

With these new appointments, BHSI aims to strengthen its claims leadership team in Germany and improve its customer service offerings. – InsuranceNewsAsia.com
